The Initiation is the first book in the 'trilogy' from L.J. Smith. I say 'trilogy' because after the 3rd book, we get a ghost writer named Aubrey Clark. I say this because the books by Clark werent... as well written, shall we say? She is a good writer, just i find that Smith did an exceptional job. These first 3 books were... SIMPLY AMAZING.... L.J. Smith is such an amazing writer and even more so in this book. I must admit, I have re-read this maybe a dozen times from start to finish and still cant find any flaw in it (thats just me though). I know some readers didn't find this book particularly amazing but to me, it was <3

Hier handelte es sich um ein er-read. Wie damals schon hat mir das Buch auch dieses Mal gut gefallen. Ich mag Hexen einfach :)

Hmmm, I actually enjoyed the book. I honestly went into it with low expectations mostly due to my horrible and disappointing journey with “The House of Night”. Thankfully I was very surprised with the narrative of the story. I’ve previously read the first 2 books of the TVD series, but didn’t keep going because I found something more interesting to read, although I was always drown to this series more (I have a thing for witches and magic). I like the voice of the Cassie, even though she is a teenager there is not much of that vane conflict on her mind so characteristic YA heroines. She just wants to fit in on this new environment, but unfortunately she is not having any luck... until she does. I feel while reading you are mostly trying to put 2 and to 2 together to find out how is the killer. Is it the self proclaimed bad witch or is it the good witch, that could actually be bad? Who knows? Love aches don’t kick in until the last few pages it was sort of refreshing! Loved that. Can’t wait for the next book!
