....................Nothing happened in this book................why am I still reading this? I DON'T EVEN KNOW ANYMORE
A solid 4.5 stars for me.
I enjoy this book. So many twists and turns. I still think Grace is not my fav lead but it is a fast pace book. I loved the cliffhanger... i need to see where this book goes next and what it means. I NEED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I loved how complex this world got and also how dangrous.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of my kindle automatically updating the read status on here. Oy vey. I remember really enjoying the first book in the series despite a plot that severely tests the suspension of disbelief. It's a feel good read (not in the sense that it's mindless chic lit but...hard to put into words) and the second book continues in that same vein. Once I started reading, I had great difficulty setting it aside, wanting to speed read my way through the pages. High brow reading? Definitely not. Somewhat annoying protagonist? Definitely. I kept wanting to shake her and tell her to start believing in herself. Even with all of that, I had to dive right into the third book when I finished this book despite the fact that I had spent the entire evening already reading.
