It was good but wayyyyy too short for me. I did like it tho.

I really enjoyed the illustrations. The story was maybe a bit too short.

Whenever Philip Pullman publishes another book, I need to have it. I bought the limited, signed edition, and read it the moment it landed on my doormat. Like the other His Dark Materials novels, Serpentine deals with deep, complex themes such as science, religion, abuse of power, and growing up. This one is about identity, and it’s brilliant. I just wish it had been longer! So lovely to get another glance into Lyra and Pan’s world.
