Shards of Frost
Reviews

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance Shards of Frost is the most recent contribution to the Mercury Pack series and this whole shifter world this author has created for her readers. I can't believe I just discovered this book when I saw it in the Kindle Unlimited archives and boy was I shocked because I am normally on top of the newest or upcoming releases from this author. And quite frankly I was super excited to read this especially upon seeing who our hero is ELI!! Boy I have been waiting for his book in what seems like forever. But now we have his book and it was simply breathtaking in so many ways. And we just get so many delights. Scars are not flaws. They can be badges of honor. They can be marks of survival. They can be proof of a personβs craft. But never flaws. All these scars you have speak of your drive, skill, resilience, and fierceness Shards of Frost begins when we see Casey Frost, our heroine of the story, is engaged in a fighting match. She is fighting and due to her brothers debt, if she loses and make it look genuine, her brother will be free from a tyrant and a man that has focused on her for some unknown reason that Casey can't comprehend. But when she decides to stand up and not give in to the blackmail, she draws the eye of a unique alpha male....Eli Axton. A dominant alpha who makes her think of bed sheets and fire....but even when their bond is made clear to them from very early in the story, their enemy has it out for them and their packs will be put in danger in ways neither expect.... His appeal went deeper than the surface, though. Eli throbbed with a dark dominance and barely restrained sexuality that made a girl think all kinds of dirty thoughts. Then there was his air of unshakable self-assurance and how unapologetically male he was β¦ Yeah, he sure packed a sensual punch. Shards of Frost was simply a fantastic read that tugged me in unique ways. I really needed the humor and delight that this author always delivers in her stories. I never fully know what to expect when she writes but I always know I will become highly entertained and I definitely was. I surely have missed the Mercury Pack and all the charm it brings. What I did love was seeing their relationship become so cemented from the very beginning and seeing their find their way through their mating and figure out their future together and fight some enemies along the way. And we get NICE GRETA in this book. lol It simply is so amusing to see it happen because it's so rare. But we have another heroine that she happens to like. *victory* Nothing had ever felt more natural than the feel of her soul bonded to his. Another plus side to this story was Cain and Cassidy, we get a bit more info on them, see more depths on their connection and in the epilogue we see a scene of Christmas seven years ahead of the current time where they are fully mated. For those unaware Cain has suffered horribly and has become hard and different from years in a juvenile prison. And Cassidy is still a girl and won't be adult for years. I am *crossing the fingers* and really hoping we get their book because I NEED it. She also had a β¦ presence. An energy that was gritty, earthy and commanded attention. Nothing had ever enticed him the way she did. Everything about her incited his senses and drew him in. Her scent, her taste, the feel of her skinβall of it was perfect. Overall I found Shards of Frost to be pure deliciousness on every page, a story that kicks a powerful punch of thrills, adventure and passion!!

Yeah pretty fuckin sure this is my favorite between both the Phoenix Pack and the Mercury pack books π. Literally loved it so so so much πππ
