I liked it, I just think the author should have changed the names of the characters, because none of them—ESPECIALLY not Jane or Mr. Rochester—were the same characters at all, and the plot had barely a relation to the original. Not a bad thing, just don’t say this is a witchy retelling of Jane Eyre when all that’s even remotely similar are the names of characters and locations.

Anyway, the characters were a bit one-dimensional but I found the plot very interesting and read the whole book in a day.

I am not particularly fond of retellings of classic books, and there isn't really a more classic book than Jane Eyre.  However, the author does a wonderful job of creating a unique take on the characters and plot of Bronte's story.  The mystery and touch of magic create a wonderful mood for the reader, and the characters are very likable.  This was an enjoyable take with a unique perspective that most retellings of this type do not have.
