A whole fantasy world with complex conflicts was built in this one novel. Beautifully written, the world crafted believably and with human nature at its core, this is an excellent romantasy read if you want a well-developed plot line. Harlow is a badass FMC, and she has met quite a match in her politically-motivated arranged marriage to Henry.

4.5 ⭐️ / I didn’t think a mmc with the name Henry would be worth reading in a romantic fantasy, but okaaaay pop off king. I’m utterly obsessed with this book.

I enjoyed this book! The characters were very likable, lively, and entertaining (I loved that they were 30 and not 19). Harlow is probably one of my favorite female main characters. Henry is equally as likable too!

The world was fun and interesting, and I didn’t call many plot points. My one critique of this book is SO much inner dialogue, and the 50%-75% range dragged with little to nothing happening. But I enjoyed this and would recommend!
