4 ⭐ !!!! this book was quite simple and straightforward which I actually quite enjoyed. I thought michal was great and while I saw people call célie stupid I disagree. I think her vulnerability and will to keep going is admirable and I quite empathize with her. I would've liked if she wrapped the ending up a bit quicker and make it a little more grand even though there is gonna be a sequel but it felt slightly lackluster. I hope the slow burn finally catches fire on the second book too.

Wow wow wow this was so good!! i was a little hesitant at first because it was a bit slow for a little bit after Célie was kidnapped but it really redeemed itself. I loved seeing Célie’s growth throughout this book! I also loved how the original gang was in it a fair amount but not enough to take away from Célie’s story. I kind of saw the ending coming but I still was shook. Overall, loved it.
