Chasing the Moon
It’s a warm, dark, and breezy night… When I walk outside onto my front porch, there’s a shimmer all around; it invites me to look up. There above, the moon is smiling down. “Come out!” he calls. “Come out to play, try and tag me… you just may,” and so I do! I run through the woods, I run through the fields; I climb upon the rooftops and go up and over the bridge. I run into the city and race through the streets… There upon the building’s ledge, I can catch the moon! Join in the chase… “Come and catch me, if you can!”
