Who are we to name ourselves, to declare ourselves as intergalactic territory that isn't colonized in Genesis? Who are we to declare that parts of our most honest, unadulterated personhood aren't up for collaboration, not even for reasons that the collective deem as "good"?

There will be no such reassurances here. I find them often to be more harmful than helpful, especially when these reassurances are presented as a means to make asexuality more palatable - or at least more tolerable - and more legible to allosexuals.

What is true of whiteness in every space, even in "progressive" and "inclusive" spaces, is that it will always work to create some form of exclusivity as a means to reassert white superiority.

If you've never had sex, then you can't know that you are asexual. If you have had sex, then you just haven't had enough sex to know what you like yet. But you also can't possibly be asexual if you've had "too much" sex, especially if you enjoyed any part of it. If you come out as ace before a certain age, them it's too early to know that about yourself. After a certain age, you're a fraud because otherwise you would have come out sooner.

Genuinely beyond baffling to me bc what on earth does not experiencing sexual attraction have to do with giving someone money to live in an apartment or doing a job

Among asexual and aromantic characters, there is a clear pattern of dehumanization through constructing them as people without empathy and without any real concept of the emotional complexities of humans.
