Agak mild dari koleksi lain, tapi lumayan bikin bergidik. Paling gelo The Long Dream, Greased, dan Hanging Blimp.

otra sólida colección de diez historias cortas, esta seleccion junta un par de las historias de Ito más iconicas como ‘fashion model’, ‘hanging blimp’, ‘painter’ de tomie, entre otras. es muy difícil elegir solo una pero creo que mi historia favorita es ‘the long dream’.

“A story about balloon headed dopplegangers out to hunt their counterparts the moment they go outside.” 😀 consider me unsettled. I’ve recently fallen down the Junji Ito rabbit hole and despite horror not being my cup of tea, I cannot look away. Some stories here were much stronger than others, my favorite being Hanging Blimp and The Long Dream. The author commentary after each story was super interesting in seeing how Junji Ito finds and grows his concepts.

I really lived this book. There were some grose moments and none of the stories were to sjort or to long. The author managed to capture creat eximnet and terrifing stories in an amazing way.

The master of Japanese manga horror does it again. I've read some of these stories before in this anthology, but they're some of his better works. Found some new stories that are good too. I think this is Junji Ito at his best.

I definitely loved this, some of the stories really creeped me out. I definitely have new phobias now!

Honestly, what goes on in Junji Ito's head? I got a sense of how he comes up with his stories from the commentaries which I really enjoyed reading, but boy this man's imagination is wild. That last chapter will haunt me for the rest of my life. Freaking disgusting, but I just can't stop reading his stories. :|

What. The. Actual. Fuck did I just read?! This was so gory and so creepy...I loved it! Junji Ito never fails to fuck with my eyes.

4.5 stars!!! This man is a creative genius!!! The stories were so interesting and the art was incredible and terrifying. It was so nice to read the commentary at the end of each story too. I read Uzumaki long ago while in college and let me tell you, I was terrified to see spirals for like a week, but that's the moment I fell in love with Junji Ito and his fantastic art.
