Shiver is a story where after reading “The Favor” that I just knew I had to grab up and I am so glad I did because it proved that “The Favor” was no fluke and that Suzanne Wright blossoms in this genre just as she has in the paranormal genre. And she really blends the characterization so flawlessly and you just want to cheer these two on as their journey begins and ends together. The heroine especially I was so drawn to, she has such inner strength and love how she keeps everything together so tightly. She has so much on her shoulders, but also lets herself lean on her new boyfriend she its needed. Even though she has some feminist vibes, she also respects and uplifts her man too and really found that empowering throughout the story here ,at least from my own personal perspective. Its so interesting to see the dynamic form of elements that come together in this one. Its not your typical contempoary romance, and it beholdens such inner values and strength that you can only admire the more you read.
