** spoiler alert ** AMÉ CON TODO MI SER ESTE LIBRO. Me dio mucha nostalgia leer a Chelsea y a Jake; y claramente a los niños: Riley, Rory, Raymond, Rosaleen, Regan y Ronan <3 los quiero mucho a todos. Creo que este libro [extra] me gustó mucho más que el principal 🤧 o sea, fue más que nada porque no había ningún drama absurdo, era todo muy lindo y confort, y qué genial es leer a todos estos personajes luego de su final feliz. Además, me parece muy hermoso que Chelsea y Jake hayan tenido un hijo, y que lo llamaran “Robert Atticus”🥺 primero para honrar al hermano de Chelsea y al juez (que recientemente había muerto y Jake lo iba a visitar todos los meses al cementerio), y segundo porque siguieron con la tradición de los nombres con “R”. ¿Mi cosa favorita? Ver cómo Jake se convirtió de alguna manera en el ídolo de todos esos niños. Su relación con Raymond, Rory y Rosaleen >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> mi debilidad. Literal es un excelente padre para todos ellos 😭😭😭 y qué orgullo me dio que Rory siguiera los pasos de Jake y se convirtiera en abogado. Y no solo eso, sino que me emocionó un montón que Rory llamara a su hijo “Becker” 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 mi corazón no puede con tanto. ¿El epílogo de acá? Un ensueño 😭😭😭 las autoras deberían de tomar nota de lo que uno como lector espera de un epílogo. Acá la autora se lo rifó y casi me hace llorAR.

Emma Chase is the best author in creating addicting romance stories with hilarious characters. And she has done it again with a short novella of the Legal Briefs series, Sidebarred. Sidebarred has return back with the cute yet hilarious couple, Jake and Chelsea. Jake and Chelsea are still going strong with their six cute yet funny children. They have everything settle in their life that something unexpected happen that will throw them in a loophole. Chelsea is pregnant that they will add another child in the crazy hectic house whole. Chelsea and Jake will have adventure in having child together. We also get some glimpse of the other couples in Sidebarred that you will feel united again. Definitely read Legal Briefs series before Sidebarred. Four Stars!

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads. This novella, you guys. I loved it even more than I thought I would. It just made my heart so freaking happy. Jake and Chelsea are one of my all time favorite book couples so I was thrilled to get more of them and their brood. Of course, seeing more of Stanton and Sofia and Brent and Kennedy made me happy, too. This novella was sexy and funny, but it wasn't without some emotional moments too. Feels for fucking days. If it went on forever, I'd have gladly continued reading it. *big happy sigh* I can't even say anything else about this one. I don't want to ruin a single moment for you. If you're a fan of The Legal Briefs series, you NEED to read this one. I couldn't have asked for a better addition to the series than this novella. And, as I think I've said in every review for the books in this series, if you're a romance fan and you're not reading this series, you are totally missing out and you need to reevaluate your life choices. ;) Absolutely no one writes the male POV like Emma does. I pretty much guarantee you'll fall in love with Stanton, Jake and Brent (and their lovely ladies) if you just give them a chance. I know this is supposed to be the final book in the series, but I have my fingers crossed there just might be more in the future. I'll read about Jake, Chelsea and their family – and the rest of The Legal Briefs characters – as long as Emma continues to write about them. There's just something special about these characters. I miss them already. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. FAVORITE QUOTES: Making love sweetly has its place; long hours of endless foreplay are great, too. Hell, I can even get into the romance stuff—candles and rose petals and warm baths. But hard, fast fucking should never, ever be underestimated—'cause it's awesome. She's my love, my home, the solace to my soul, the keeper of my heart, the center of my entire fucking world. The only reason I really believe in my own goodness is because I see it reflected in her eyes. "I didn't plan on you, Chelsea. Or them. And for as long as I live, you will be the best thing that ever happened to me."

Originally posted at Booklovers For Life Sustained is without doubt my FAVORITE in the Legal Briefs series, so when I heard that we would be getting a little more of Jake, Chelsea, and the McQuaid children, I jumped for joy. Sidebarred is an incredible follow-up, not just to Sustained, but to the entire series. Even though this is very much about Jake, Chelsea, and the kids, we also get a lot of Stanton and Sofia, Brent and Kennedy. If you love this series, you definitely need to get your hands on this novella! We’ve been married for about two years and there hasn’t been a single morning when I didn’t wake with a smile tugging at my lips. Not one fucking time. Because she’s beside me—half on top of my—and the six little shits we love more than anything are tucked safely away upstairs. They’re all really good sleepers. That’s key. Jake and Chelsea are married and settled down. It’s not easy raising six children, but they do it, and they do it well, mostly because everything is an organized chaos. But when Chelsea tells Jake that her period is late (in the most hilarious conversation ever), the two of them are excited – but terrified too. Can they handle one more addition to their family? She’s my love, my home, the solace to my soul, the keeper of my heart, the center of my entire fucking world. The only reason I really believe in my own goodness is because I see it reflected in her eyes. If you know Emma Chase (and why wouldn’t you), then you know that she rocks at male POV and comedy. She brings out her best once again in Sidebarred – not only is Jake a funny, sarcastic SOB, all of the McQuaid children are a riot. There’s never a dull moment in their home, and I honestly couldn’t stop smiling while reading this. Seeing this little glimpse at what happens after the happily-ever-after was delightful. This novella is sugary-sweet and laugh-out-loud funny – and it’s got the most perfect epilogue ever!
