What a nice novella! It had all the little bits of things I love in a historical with the addition that our mains are queer. Love to see the bi rep! 

This was my first read by Sierra Simone and she writes emotion so viscerally. "The disappointment dug into her heart like tiny, awful splinters. Thousands of them." And then how she resolved the story just hit that id button for me.

I have to highlight my favorite exchange when Ajax goes, "You're lucky I didn't throw you over my shoulder and carry you to my bedroom." 
Oh no mister duke, dont do that.- Eleanor, if she had any sarcasm.
