The baby really gets in the way of reading time, so it took me a while to finish this little thing.

Freud's book about da Vinci is, as far as I can tell, totally forgotten. That's too bad because it's a lot of fun. I like Freud because he believes in himself so much that he is beyond parody. His theories about da Vinci are wildly speculative. It's sort of like Nietzsche's Philosophy in the Tragic Age of the Greeks but psychoanalytic and about Renaissance painting.

The long digression about ancient Egyptian vulture myths is worth the price of admission.
