My Captive’s Heart 

Plot : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Story :⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tropes : boyfriend’s dad, captor X captive, yearning MMC. Pacing : perfect. (I never felt bored) Characters : i) Alexander & Molly — I have a love - hate feeling towards Alex, probably because I was reading two books, heartless beloved and this one at a time, but, but I liked this man, the moment he takes Molly captive and fulfills all of her fantasies, even though he keeps her in an abandoned house (which he revealed, he had purchased for them, when he wanted to ask her out)I love a yearning man, he kept his feelings suppressed for eight years, and then made a move on her when he got the chance. He’s a stalker, he knew her fantasies that she had written in her diary, when he had a crush on him, at the time they met. Molly’s pov was something I enjoyed reading, I loved the dynamic they both had. 🤌🏼💕 What I loved : I definitely loved the story, everything from the start to the finish, I didn’t even know i’d read till the end, once I started reading, I kept reading and reading until I finished. I loved the thrill of danger, the very explicit scenes, the writing. I’ve always loved reading Simran’s books, and I loved this one too, one of my favorites! What I struggled with : I didn’t struggle with anything, the book was worth my time, and writing this review. Loveable characters or not : yes, loveable. (Except Matt sorry 😔) Strong character development : I can’t say development, but yes. (Alex wanted to keep her all to himself, and wanted her to choose him, instead of his son but he gave her time, and let her go, even though it was the most painful thing for him. He even transferred elsewhere, where he could focus on his work, away from Molly, when he learns that Molly is going to marry Matt. Plot driven / character driven : plot driven. so good. 🤌🏼 Favorite quotes/ highlights :

“I saw the sneaky little glances you threw my way all those years,” Alexander murmurs. “Your pretty eyes always found mine first in the room. Never Matt’s. Not even after you two got together. By the time I pulled my head out of my ass, it was too late. You had chosen Matt. It felt like someone took a knife to my heart and cut it into a million pieces. So, I buried my feelings once more, thinking it was the right thing to do. Until…” “She may not choose my son, but she may not choose me either.”

Similar book recommendations : ’tis the season of wicked deeds by the same author. (It’s a spicy holiday romance) Any other details : I loved this book, and finished it in one setting, but then again, i’ve always loved Simran’s books.
