I got a bucket of cold water reading this book, but in a good way. A really good way!
So despite the first book i had read from this series, that i could't take that end for how bad it were for me, in this book, i just fell in love, good lord! If i like men like Sean that are womenizers, playboys, super rich and despicable? No! Obviously not! If i have a huge crush now on him? You guessed right, i mean, Zenny is a very lucky girl.
She is not only a strong and independent women who likes to help those in need, but also, she is a very curious and mischievous girls.
I don't want to write any soiler so you can enjoy the book in your own way, but you can prepare yourself to some crazy and depressive things, as always, check some potencial trigger warnings that may be harmful for you.
All the love!

Audiobook narrator is 5/5. Spice level is off the charts, but halfway through I thought about the plot and what was going on and kind of creeped me out… Kind of predictable and I lost interest half way through.

Yeah, how is it that I’m always unprepared for books that I know are incredibly spicy. Like I’ve never read scenes that have made me uncomfortable with their level of spice than I have with this one. The plot was sort of there but it felt like 90% spice 10% plot. I always feel like I need to go to church after reading these but after going through what I go through that makes me even more uncomfortable.

meh

This one was funnier than the first.

OK WOW. ngl, halfway through i was NOT about this book. there were multiple times i considered dropping the book and never picking it back up again. i guess for a lot of people, it wouldn’t make them too uncomfy, but i have an ick with some of the things that were done between the two lovers. so glad i got over it and rode it out to the end because IT REDEEMED ITSELF GREATLY IN MY EYES. i will admit, i have never cried so hard reading a book before. like my heart just got ripped out of my chest, but i’m ok w it?? my heart was broken, then repaired, then broken again, and then FINALLY I COULD BREATH. Sierra surprises me once again.

I had a day off alone and devoured this book. I really didn’t want to like it but of course I did. 😂
The religious stuff isn’t really my thing but a 36 year old millionaire doting on a 21 year old woman who wants to be a midwife/nun, that I can do. This book is hot. And I liked it. The end.

Holy moly. Holy moly. Holy moly. Holy moly. Holy moly. Hello forbidden, delicious, and sinfully seductive Sean and sweet, innocent and naive Zenobia aka Zenny. This book gave me ALL the emotions. Are we sure I am still alive? This book played with my emotions. Like a board game, kinda played. I don’t know what to feel or how to feel. I’m giddy like a schoolgirl and yet so damn anxious about everything that did happen. This book kept me on my toes and no matter how painful that might be I couldn’t get enough of it. This book revolves around religion and our main characters’ relationship with God. I am by no means a religious person. Like Sean, I have had a VERY unforgiving dislike of God since 2008. This book definitely pushed my limits on the subject matter. Yes there’s the forbidden aspect, tons of sex and the age difference, but that’s not what I’m talking about. The use of God in this book is vital and I couldn’t see it played out in any other way. If you are like me, I really recommend you read this book. Typically I wouldn’t read a book with a religious subject matter in it but it made me love this book even more. The importance of this in the story is vital and truly makes this story unique. I am definitely going to be reading more from Sierra Simone! Thank you for pushing my limits in a non preachy way. If you are looking for a great forbidden, age gap read that is deliciously hot with a ton of passion and emotion that you get unbelievably invested in the story and characters then this is the book for you!. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received a copy of Need You Now, a collection from Top Shelf Romance in exchange for an honest review. This book was included in that collection.

Loved it! Better than the first one.

I wanted spice and this book delivered! Sean Bell is HOT 🥵

Honestly... The only reason it got 1 star was because the spice scenes were so well written. Other than that I hated the "sexy talk", the characters, and the lack of wrapping up minor side plots. I forced myself to finish the book. Priest had me salivating at the mouth. I jumped into this book blind thinking how I felt about Priest. It just did not do it for me. I probably won't read the 3rd, might circle back around one day but today is not that day.. Good luck I guess?

I read this not realizing it was part of an entire spicy series🫢 The spice though🥵

This book was not my absolute favorite, but it was a sweet book. It surprised me with profound conversations and perspectives regarding religion, but also had a great amount of smut. I think “Priest” was better, but I’m glad I read this one.

Great follow up to priest. Not as good but still worth reading. The ending was predictable but still worthwhile. Super spicy just like priest. The writing is amazing

OH MY GOD

While I still really enjoyed this book, I can’t help but compare it to Priest and it just doesn’t *quite* stack up. Sean is 🥵 but Father Bell still had my heart. This book, although it definitely touched on difficult concepts and themes, was much more about the smut than the plot. Which is absolutely fine, I just have trouble comparing this to Priest which I loved much more. Working in the medical field, and with oncology patients specifically, I appreciate how Simone portrayed end of life care and the struggles a family goes through caring for a loved one with cancer. She did a phenomenal job and was surprisingly accurate, for the most part. But I didn’t love how she portrayed the nurses if I’m being completely honest. Overall this was an enjoyable read but not probably one I’d ever revisit in the future. I definitely still recommend if you’re looking for a romance with some depth.

i’m genuinely going to be thinking about this book for the rest of my life

Sinner (Priest #2) Sierra Simone ★★★★★5/5 “I’m a dirty man sweetheart” and a dirty talking man he is. His mouth and the words that spilled out just kept introducing me to new ways to be amazed. Sean Bell; playboy, womanizer, SINNER Plus the age gap between him and Zenny and the fact that it was forbidden makes this book even more erotic. I love the ways the author can make you think about God while reading raunchy romance. Sierra isn’t afraid to dive deep into uncharted water with the ways God can hurt people like the ways he did the Bell family, while still coming back to understanding God. The story is beyond beautiful while still being devastating.

This author’s ability to write some of the spiciest scenes but absolutely move me with her prose is incredible. The philosophical/religious debate and subsequent growth of the characters navigating it blew me away. About 75% of the way through I was actually sobbing and after finishing the story has stuck with me. It’s beautiful, heart wrenching, thought provoking, but still a page turner and spicy as hell. Such a 5 star read.

this book was just... wow. heart wrenching and beautiful. I never thought I’d say this but this book did a phenomenal job blending sexy romance with deep theological questions, which was the reason I loved it so much. this book follows sean and zinny and is a best friends little sister trope! zinny is a nun about to dedicate her life to god in a month. before she does though, she seeks out sean to show her everything she’d be missing once she fully pledges herself to god. it’s not at all what I expected to be completely honest. I didn’t think it would be zinny originally pursuing sean and that to me is what made this book. not only that but the love and care that sean has for zinny is perfect! also this is important to note, the sex in this book is HOT. sean is so sexy and his dirty talk killed me. not to mention I loved zinny’s curiosity and desire to try all types of things this is also the first book I’ve read in only the hero’s point of view, which I was skeptical about at first but is what ended up, again, making this such an amazing book. sinner now has its place on my favorites shelf! If you haven’t read this book yet you’re missing out!!

After I finished the audiobook of Priest (which dear God is the only way I can imagine "reading" this book) I was delighted to find out there was another book in her series with the same voice actor. Let me just say, I don't understand how this one doesn't have the same amount of hype! I didn't think it would be possible to top Tyler Bell, but his big brother Sean had me salivating. Sean Bell is an extremely rich play boy who only worries about money and sex. So when he meets the most gorgeous girl he's ever seen, he's horrified to find out it's his best friend's little sister that he hasn't seen in 13 years. She may be 21 now, but at 36 he knows she is too young for him. To make matters worse, she is going to take her vows to become a nun in one month. She should be off limits and he tries to stay away until she shows up at his door and asks him to teach her everything about sex. She needs to know what she's giving up before she takes the plunge and she only trusts him to do it. So for one month, he will have her. But how on earth is he going to let her go? I loved the dynamic between Zenny and Sean. She may be 21, but she is extremely well educated and compassionate. She tends to win every argument and I love the way he can't say no to her. Plus their spicy scenes are intense and just the way I like them. I wouldn't mind both Bell brothers of course but if I had to choose, Sean would be it every time.

I almost dnf’d in the first chapter because I was so disgusted by the protagonist’s inner monologue, and then next thing I knew, I was crying at the end because of the way this fictional man overcame his Catholic trauma & connected with the love of his life
WILD ride
For a book with a lot of pure, unadulterated smut, there was a surprising amount of profound discussions about religious trauma. I think I learned something, which I did NOT expect

Sierra Simone can take all my money at this point. Another incredibly well written novel that was interesting, moving, funny, and yes 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶. It’s everything you want in a romance story that’s also grounded in reality and great writing. Plot points make sense and the character development is great. And the narrator also doesn’t hurt. 😏😏

I desperately wanted to love this book the way I loved Priest. I think there's few things hotter than making someone religious choose you over God but I think that might only apply to priests for me and not nuns. I honestly didn't want this to have the ending it had. A HEA is great and all but it didn't feel right. Also wasn't into the teacher thing, it made me feel kinda weird with the age gap. Also didn't love that he knew her very well when she was a child and regularly thinks about that fact or the breeding kink. Spicy but not in a way I enjoyed but that was because I didn't like the role play and not because they weren't well written.
