well I liked this book because it shows how people are affected by a paper saying who is the ugliest and who is the prettiest out of the whole high school. this book is from a 8 point of view and it was nice how we got the different perspectives of each and one of them.

El final ha quedado muy abierto y no me termina de convencer. Pero en sí el libro me ha gustado. Un poco menos de lo que esperaba, bt muy bien.

I did not like it at all!
The fact that there are like six POVs is so unnerving when every chapter is only like two pages...
I couldn't read on after the first six or more chapters were basically the same because it simply showed how everyone realized they were on the list and it was so repetetive.
Also the revealing who wrote the list is so unsatisfying and their reason also doesn't make sense imo so I felt like I read it for nothing :/

This books shows you what different , and relatable , characters think about beauty and how they try to achieve it and that is what i liked about this book. The only thing i did not like was the ending.

** spoiler alert ** This books has been on my TBR for three years. But it was a little bit of a letdown. I think in the last few years YA has gotten a lot better at accurately representing teens and their struggles. Had this one been written today, I think the story would have felt more genuine. My main problem is that I wanted more. More of the characters. More resolution. There seemed to be no real resolution. Are Margo and Jennifer cool again? Does Bridget recover from eating disorders? What about Lauren and her mom? Their lives don't seem to have progressed at all during the course of the novel, and that kind of defeats the purpose.

This book rocked back and forth on my ratings right from the very start to the very end. At the beginning of the book I waa confused. And kind of bored. Too many characters, too icy backstory, too much going on. Also the lack of concern and care from the majority of the characters about this horrific and demeaning list. Urgh. I almost DNF’d. But then I started to get into it a little more. I wanted to know what happened with the characters. I wanted to know what happened with Danielle and I was desperate to know what was going to happen to Bridget. The others I was a bit meh about but I loved Danielle and I started to care about Bridget. Then at the end... so little is resolved. I was left feeling a little deflated. Almost like there should be a sequel, except I can’t see any possible way there could be a sequel. Please don’t make a sequel. But what happened to Bridget??? That’s what I want to know. Hmm.

Good book it had a suprising ending.

I ordered this book of amazon as a slightly random and spontaneous purchase, from reading the description j love the idea and i wanted to see how the author would show how being called ugly and pretty can have effects on you. This book took me two months to read, in lockdown, and everytime i picked it up to resume i would want to read another book instead, and when i next returned to the book i had forgotten what had happened. I found the fact it was from 8 different perspectives very hard to keep up with. I thought the ending was quite rushed and i still had a lot of unanswered questions about each character. i

** spoiler alert ** Wow! What a tale - I can see how this would be a great book for teen girls to read so that they can see how being classified as "the pretty popular one" might not always be such a great thing. I was nervous going into this having been someone that was labeled "the ugly one" in 8th grade slam books (remember those!?!?) and the start of the story brought up some nasty reminders. Once I got past the first 2% though I was hooked and couldn't put the book down. This story would have received 5 stars had it not been for the very abrupt ending. I felt as though someone yanked me out of the lives of all 8 girls having shadowed them for a weeks time. What happened next though!? Will the list live on!? TELL ME I MUST KNOW!!!

This has been one of my favourite books this year! I love the description and building up of each character who has been affected by the list of being the ugliest or prettiest. So realistic and a coming-of-time.

that's how it ends????

This book was OK. I enjoyed some of the stories more than others, but I wish each story received a more solid ending.

Wow... just. Did not expect that ending. Good. I mean... there will be a part two... right?!?! SO MANY THINGS I NEED TO KNOW.

Awesome!!
