Wow okay I just wanna say this is one of the best trilogies I have ever read and I'm sad that it's over.

After the cliffhanger on the second book I was scared to read this one. I like how well explained the situation with the sisterhood was, the resistance and the brothers. There were so many amazing characters in this book! I was afraid that the author would rush with this book but she didn't, it was all developed fairly. 

I really enjoyed the danger in this book. The secret meetings and sneaking around. Cate and her friends were never safe from Inez and the brothers. They could only trust themselves and the people that wanted the brotherhood out. They have done so much for each other and women they didn't even know. The good witches were putting their lives in danger for the betterment of New England.

I am so happy that Finn and Cate were brought back together after what happened to him. I really wanted him to tell her I love you but he didn't and it made sense not to. I'm sad that Finn didn't get back what he lost but it was better than just doing something and calling it magic. It made it more realistic.

The characters were beautifully developed and real. They've come far since the first book. Tess was afraid of going mad and disappointing everyone. Cate trying her best to stay strong and make decisions that wouldn't make everything fall apart. Maura who was desperate for attention and love. SPOILER WARNING-> It's incredible how the author made us hate Maura and yet made us cry and hurt after her death (I was a mess and wanted to scream.)

Cate's hold on her emotions was crazy amazing. She felt lost, she became dark and let her desire for revenge take over but then she was able to control her emotions again. I loved that she wasn't only moved by guilt or because she felt like she had to but because it was the right thing to do. She is definitely a character you could look up to. 

I would love to see Cate and Finns relationship, Tess, Elena, Rilla and Alistair years after the epilogue of the book. 

Honestly one of the best book series I have read. I didn't expect to love this trilogy as much as I do! Maybe one day we'll get to know how their lives turned out but for now I'm happy.
