Chloe goes to this study hall to help her with her grades, she lays her head down before it starts and falls alseep but when she wakes up it’s 6 months later and she has no idea what’s going on and why she’s all of a sudden dating her crush and no longer besties with her best friend. 

This book was a trip and it had me guessing the entire time and though I figured it out before the ending it was still such a good read and I really enjoyed it so much. I love Natalie D. Richards work. She’s brilliant.

           This book had so many unnecessary scenes, almost as many as the amount of random phrases the character uses. Also Chloe has so many biases about Adam it was hard to overlook it. It’s almost like she felt she was doing him a favor by talking to him / going to his house. Instead of trying to understand his home life, she made judgments about him. It would have been fine if it happened the first time she went over to his home, however her describing his home as the ones the other citizens “forget are in the town” just left a bad taste in my mouth.

This book was good. It wasn't GREAT in my opinion, but it wasn't bad! There were a few twists and turns that kept me engaged, but some of it was just... a bit too much. Adding murder to the plot, along with the main characters refusal to talk to anyone about anything that's going on with her, kinda drew me out, along with the actual final reveal. Something about it was too much for me, the "evil boyfriend" take who's working with his dad to control kids pretty much with drugs? I don't know. It wasn't for me, but I can guarentee there are many people out there who would like it! The other thing I didn't really like was the "love triangle" that was introduced as early as page 36 or so. 

As a young adult thriller though, this was pretty good! I wasn't able to guess exactly what was going on too soon, or even put all the pieces together without Chloe figuring the memories out first. The writing was engaging, save for a few metaphors in my opinion, and I read it much quicker than I was anticipating because I couldn't put it down at times. 

Over all I gave it a 3/5 stars because of the things I mentioned above, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good YA thriller.

I had good hopes for this book, but it definitely was too long for its own good. The mystery wasn't that intriguing as you continued to go through the story. I just wanted it to be over for the most part.

I gave it 2 stars because I really was intrigued at the beginning and it ended okay.

Chloe didn't think about it much when she nodded off in study hall on that sleepy summer day, but when she wakes up, snow is on the ground and she can't remember the last six months of her life. The plot contains profanity and violence.

Well, I'm impressed! Six Months Later was quite the book, and it made short work of drawing me in from the very beginning. Is there anything more terrifying than waking up with no memory of the past six months? For Chloe that's a reality. From the moment she awakens, you're right there with her. Terror and all. It was an intense start to a book that wouldn't let me go until I finished. As I said, I'm totally impressed.

What struck me most, besides the amazing opening of course, was how well built this whole book really is. Chloe's life slowly comes to light as the book progresses. You find out the type of person she once was, compared starkly against the person she became when she could no longer control herself. Despite the fact that Chloe was a wreck the majority of the novel (and who can blame her really) she's easy to fall into step with. I had no problem learning about the time she had lost, right along with her.

Even the supporting characters are enjoyable. Adam stole my heart, with his outwardly tough demeanor and sweet heart. He isn't your typical "bad boy" character, and I liked that. He was a perfect fit. Then there was Maggie, who quite honestly is the epitome of the friend we all want. I can't say too much more without spoiling anything, but I can promise you that she plays just as important of a role as the other characters. In fact, that's what I liked most. Each character is just as important to the plot as the next.

I have to admit that I did figure out the plot twist, probably before I was supposed to. However I can happily admit that it didn't take away from my enjoyment of this book at all! It's a solidly built thriller. Even when things slowed down a bit, there were still little clues being thrown out. Pair that with gorgeously built characters, and you have an excellent read. If you're a fan of thrillers, this is a book to check out. I wasn't sure about Six Months Later at first, but it totally hooked me. I know that it will do the same for you!
