I kept expecting more. And it didn't deliver. I kept reading but my persistence didnt pay off. What the hell was the deal with the mustard? Cardboard character backgrounds. I wanted to like it, I really did. I couldn't. Touted as: "Compelling thought provoking fiction that is wildly out of the box, speculative, and boundary breaking." More like shallow, derivative, and unsure what is wanted to be. I could see every movie that influenced the writing of this book. Maybe this author just isn't for me. Maybe this wasnt the right time for me to read it. I don't know. It is what it is. Moving on...
