Force of Nature
Reviews

I received an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. What a nice change in pace. Let me start off by saying that I’m loving the Midnight Dynasty world, especially the Morelli Family. Carter may just be a front runner as my favorite Morelli, him and Leo are my top two. I really enjoyed this book, so much. I believe, now I could be wrong, that this is the first book I read where our main characters are stranded on an unknown island. But since I love a good forced proximity story, I was all in for this one. This had a completely different vibe and it fit so well with this story. I loved learning about June, Carter and our mystery man, our main characters. They are unique and their backstories really show us why they are the way they are. The beginning half of this book didn't move too fast, and had a great pace, but the closer we got to the end, it felt like things really revved up and felt quite rushed for no reason. The one and only reason that I'm rating this book 4.5 stars is simply because this book ends on a cliffhanger and nowhere in the description does it say anything about a cliffhanger. I don't mind cliffhangers, at all, however, I like to know about them going in. I mean, I should know by now, this is the Midnight Dynasty world and 90% of their books are series. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. June, Carter and our mystery man are unlike any other characters I’ve encountered before and I can't wait to see where the story takes us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.5)

"It's pure greed. It's pure lust. The very definition of sin, but it feels like heaven."
Carter and June are going to on a photography mission, when their plane ends up crashing on an island. Carter quickly discovers the plane was sabotaged and now someone has arrived on the island to kill them off. You see, Carter is what could be considered a spy. So now they both need to hide before they're found. As they go deep into the island, June gets poisoned, and that's where Theo comes in, someone who's been living on the island since he was a kid. Seeing as he has the antidote to cure June, Carter carries June all the way to where Theo lives. It's there that in close proximity they all discover just how much they sexually crave one another. But Theo has been sheltered from anything sinful, and no one is ready for the aftermath.
I definitely enjoyed this first book in the trilogy! Having met Carter and June in The Crash, I was more eager to see how the third character to this throuple, Theo, would be introduced. Right from the moment that Carter meets him, there's a push and pull that was so sizzling! I felt like I was choking on air; their sexual tension was through the roof.
It was interesting to get a glimpse of Theo's background, of him being sheltered on this deserted island since he was little, just because his mother wanted to keep him away from the sinful world. What made it even more interesting was the fact that Theo hasn't been with anyone, has never given himself over to any desire, but with Carter and June, he can't help but feel lust towards them.
"Practice holding her open. I don't want her trying to push me out, because I've wanted to fuck her since the moment I saw her. I've been a patient man, and I'm done."
I think my favorite part of this book is how Carter gives Theo tips on how to please a woman. This entire scene was hot! I can't wait to see how they navigate more of this dynamic with Theo's religious upbringing.
Force of Nature is like a Tarzan reimagining that features a throuple I'm all too eager to explore more of in this series! I don't know how Skye and Amelia do it every single time when they join forces—and individually—but I could feel the unadulterated lust pour out from the pages.
