Not as good as the previous book, to be honest. The middle part of this book is a bit dry for my liking, and a bit slow. And this is just a short book, less than 300 pages, and saying that it's slow is not a good thing. Not that this book is bad, the middle part is just stale that it was a bit boring.

It would be a 3-star if not for that whole Lindon-Jai Long duel under the three Underlords' presence, that last fight with the bloodspawns and the introduction to Akura Mercy, which by the way, I think I liked her. Though, unfortunately, I couldn't give this 4 stars either because I couldn't say that this is on par with book 3. But this is still a solid book for me.

What I like about this overall, aside from the enjoyable battle scenes which tends to be my favorite scenes in this series so far, is how the world keep on expanding. Each book, you thought that you've been introduced to the most powerful individual, but then the next book you'll realize that there are more dominant people out there and they are just waiting to be introduced. It goes to show how massive the world building could get, and that's exciting to look forward to.
