This is an interesting peek into a grandmother's last wish to her granddaughter: an address book used as a diary to commemorate every little significant moment in her (grandmother's) life. Lundberg's writing reminds me of popular WWII historical fiction novels I've read: Interesting, and just enough to pique your interest. While a slow build-up works for some plots I wished this *kind of* sped-up faster. Some parts in the beginning about the grandmother's slow motor skills should've been cut. The ending of this sample made me want to read more. The part about her dad's injury and the grandmother's abusive employer are the first glimpse into grandma's emotional journey. Overall, I'd read this.
