I'll be honest, I wasn't thrilled about this one. I liked Talon and Rogue a lot more for the simple reason that I just don't agree with anything Ember does. BUT I did love the final part of the book, especially the last chapter and the epilogue. I didn't see either of the major twists coming! I was MINDBLOWN.

This one dragged on a bit. Which is unfair of me to say I think because it had plenty of action and big reveals and stuff. 

Maybe I’m just tired of these characters. It’s possible.

This just fell a bit flat for me. I quite enjoyed book 2 and with the way that ended I was very hyped for this book and it 100% dissapointed. I feel like all the interesting elements in this book just were never really pulled to its full potential. All of it was just overshadowed by the love triangle. God damn, that love triangle was just such a pain in the butt in this book. I don't feel any of the chemistry between Ember and Garret or Ember and Riley so all the fucking drama around it is just so fucking boring. So this book just solely focussing on that triangle just wasn't it. Especially because there are so many interesting things going on in the background that just aren't given proper attention and therefore also just fall flat. I've gotten to a point where I'm constantly annoyed by all three of our main characters. They're all just so whiny. The only part I really liked in this book were Dante's POV chapters. God, they were good. No love triangle drama, some really interesting things going on in Talon and an actually likeable character. However, those chapters were so few and far in between that I also lowkey got annoyed by that. However, the ending of this book absolutely blew my mind so now I'm hyped for the next book again although I predict that might dissapoint me as well.

Until I pulled up this review, I had no idea that I had read this before. I still think this is a mistake because I recognized absolutely nothing of this book. Granted, it has been four years since I read the first two books in the series. I chose not to go back and read over the summaries of the first two books so it took a little while to get into the book. 
Kagawa has a compelling narrative that unfortunately gets bogged down in the ridiculous love triangle. Enough already.
