I read an uncorrected proof of this book - so some changes may have been made after publication. I have such mixed feelings about Anne Lamott. She shares so much with you. And sometimes that is just too much. But she writes from her heart and tells you what is in there. This book is about the first year of her grandson's life and of course it causes her to examine herself. I found myself wishing Amy would get far, far away from this very controlling woman who has struggled all her life with some sort of addiction. That grand baby does NOT belong to you! Let your son and the baby's mother decide for themselves how they are going to raise him! I don't think she heard me.
