Something Reckless

I was lucky to have received an advance copy of Something Reckless, so once I got done with Something Wild, I was able to launch right into the nitty gritty of the story. I'm not sure how well I would've handled having to wait any longer for another dose of Lizzy and Sam. And, if I'm being perfectly honest, I'm freaking out at the thought of waiting two months to get the conclusion with Something Real. I loved Lizzy and Sam in Something Wild. They were exploring their connection and things were super spicy hot. In Something Reckless, things are a mess between them. There were misunderstandings, mistakes and miscommunications. They barely speak to each other and whatever I hoped they were building in Something Wild was over. Lizzy was carrying on a flirtatious, hot and somewhat dirty relationship with a total stranger via an online dating service. As time goes on and Sam reenters her life, she wants desperately for her chat buddy to be him, but only time will tell. There's all kinds of drama in this book. Between Lizzy and Sam's second chance, so to speak, Sam's drama with his family... and the woman who is blackmailing him, there's a lot going on. The story could've easily gotten bogged down in all of that, but it didn't. If anything, these other relationships and situations just added more dimension to the story. Of course, I'm really only here for the chemistry between Lizzy and Sam, but I enjoyed all of the other goings on all the same. There's also a healthy dose of *seriously* hot sexy times. Sam is a dirty talker and Lizzy is his perfect match. I *LOVE* them together. They are smokin' hot. If you've ever read one of Lexi's series, you know she has a tendency to leave readers with massive cliffhangers and a serious book hangover. Something Reckless is absolutely no exception to this. There were twists and turns and a big ol' reveal at the end (which I guessed, but nonetheless, I need to know what's going to happen next) and when I hit the end of the book, I kept trying to turn the pages on my iPad to make sure there wasn't more. There wasn't. The wait until Something Real is here isn't all that long, but it's going to be painful. I need more now! I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
