It's finally time for Marcus to get his HEA.. After being stripped of his titles Marcus, decides to make his own way to the world and find a purpose. He becomes one of the best eye doctors, which is what Lady Louise is looking for. Having cataracts and being submitted in painful operations with temporary results, she decides it's time to find a new treatment which is what Marcus can do best. I could say that this books is divided in two parts. At the beginning is more slow burn, and we get to watch Marcus and Luisa gradually falling in love. At the second part, things escalate quickly, it becomes more adventurous until the end. This is the 8th and final full length novel of the series and the second one I've read. Like Book no7 it's standalone and it's not difficult to follow if you haven't read any other book. Sophie Barnes gives you all the information you would need. She also did an amazing job describing Louise's problem and surgery (it might disturb some readers). I really enjoyed this book, I finished it in one day and I definitely recommend it. I received a free copy from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion
