i am genuinely disappointed i did not enjoy this as much as i thought i did. it took me almost 150 pages to really get into it, and the whole love story just felt so boring and muted. i wanted more fun and more banter.

Slow burn is an understatement. While I loved the last four or so chapters, I found myself wishing they got to that point much sooner in the book. Also no epilogue and left on a cliff-hanger with their pending wedding. Not sure if I would consider this a romance novel, seeing as how the romance only happened at the end. It does however fit the enemies to lovers trope if you like that.
