That was brutal to read

I finished this in two sittings. Light mafia read with suspense, a little hate, and allllllll the tension. So happy to read an arranged marriage that isn’t the virgin trope again. Can’t wait to read the next.

This book was pretty good. I’ve been going on a streak of mid books. I just didn’t really get attached to either character that much, but sometimes they were funny so there’s that. I did like the strawberry thing, that was funny.

Enemies to lovers
Forced marriage this is a really good book it’s not slow burn but fast paced.

They’re the perfect match 🫶🏻
THE PICTURES😩🛐

Makkelijk om te lezen, vind het leuk dat ze sterke eigen mening heeft en haarzelf ook uit slechte situaties kan halen en niet op een man altijd hoeft te wachten.

wait what!? i had such low expectations and this book blew me away! so good could not put it down finished it in one day i think sophie lark might just be the next best thing to ever happen to me. amazing writing. amazing plot. amazing romance. amazing spice. top tier mafia romance.

i have to say...i enjoyed this book much more than i thought I would like it. it was truly enemies to lovers with the rivaling mafia families and it was so good. the banter at the beginning of the book was just the icing on the cake, *slight spoiler* even when they were lowkey trying to kill each other at the beginning. *spoiler end*. then at the end with everything going on to them realizing that they really did love each other i ate it all up. finished the book in a day and it was a very enjoyable time.

Not great. It was an easy read, I don’t think I ever finished a book this fast, but I didn’t really like it. It was just absolutely shallow.

I really didn’t think I was going to like this when I first started, but after putting it down for a couple of days, I ended up finishing it in one go. Considering entering my mafia romance era?

That was so perfect
First time reader and loved it so much
She is so great
Going to book 2 already

3.7

This book had a very unexpected plot considering its title but I really enjoyed it. It wasn't much of a slow burn but I still loved the relationship

This book was ok. It was entertaining if you didn’t think too hard while reading it. Very cliché mafia romance, entertaining, but that’s about it. I wasn’t a fan of Aida but that’s just personal opinion. One thing I found weird was the whole “I hate you but I’m going to jump in the shower with you and then we hook up” scene was a little weird but I guess you gotta move the story along somehow Book 3 of my power outage book binge. Day 5 without power.

cal…..thats it

A cute but very surface level
Mafia romance. Two characters are forced to marry, so it’s a bit enemies to lovers. However, for me it felt like they were only enemies for 2 pages before they already got together. I wanted a bit more tension between the two MCs.
Quick read, great to get out of a reading slump.

not great writing, I didn't make it past the first chapter

Good book I loved it but I just couldn’t get over some stuff in it

*Warning: Spoilers Ahead* Brutal Prince is a story that I read based on the recommendations from "The Book Refuge" and I saw many focus on reading this one during the Mafia Read A Thon that happened this past month. I will say that this book was ridiculous at times, and I almost DNF'd it, to be honest. I think it was the focus of the family and the way the hero is that kept me engaged in the story. I really REALLY struggled with this heroine, she was quite frankly spoiled and a brat. Her family has apparently let her get away with whatever she wants but the way she treats the hero is NOT OKAY in my opinion. I mean poisoning him on their wedding day?! Is that supposed to be justified just because you don't like the situation and don't want to be accountable for your choices? I just couldn't get behind her for most of the book and its only thanks to the page turner, engaging style of writing that kept me with this story. But while this one was most disappointing (the second book wasn't)

It's a very good enemies to lovers what I really loved about it is the fact that their relationship was so good and he respects her it has all "touch her and I'll kill u" Vibes also the female mc has a Lovely strong independent character that I admire

no plot just vibes but i ate it up

nothing says romance like almost killing your soon-to-be husband <3

-jumps from one place to another
-too much happening within one chapter, that had no build up whatsoever
-cute story, but wouldn’t read it again

“You’re going to marry Callum Griffin in two weeks,” Papa
😮😮😮

Trust is rarer than love. It’s putting your fate, your happiness, your life in someone’s hands. Hoping they keep it safe.

The great Callum Griffin. He’s their JFK, and I’m supposed to be their Jackie Kennedy. I’d rather be Lee Harvey Oswald.

“Yeah, you try that. And next time I’ll tie a fucking piano to your legs before I throw you in the pool.”

“I’m going to feed you every fucking strawberry in the state!”
