Heavy Crown Brutal Birthright: Book 6
Reviews

This is definitely one of my favorites in the series. The writing was far better than I have experienced not just in Sophie’s book but in this series in general. The plot was good, and I actually felt an investment with the characters. It could have been that I’ve known the MMC since book 1, but the FMC was a better written character as well. Now don’t get me wrong there are still the slightly cringy sentences and cringy word choices made in the book but that is ultimately Sophie’s style it’s just not one I particularly enjoy so it affects the rating for me but it may not for you. I think she set up the second gen series very well in this epilogue. I can see why people enjoy this series and wish this style of writing was seen in her standalones because my experience in this series is vastly different from what I have read stand-alone wise.

SEBASTIAN I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE BABY. (turned zaddy real quick)
Anyway yea this book was awesome everyone should read it #lovesebastian and #prayforourhealthymarriage
Mwah

seb + yelena: i really enjoyed reading their story I just wish it wasn’t RUSHED 🥹

“I love you more than anyone. I’ll love you and protect you and adore you all our lives.“ • this one is tied with Stolen Heir for my favorite in the series. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to continue with the next series! • read if you like: ♡ mafia romance ♡ dual pov ♡ rival families ♡ chess / strategy ♡ classical musics ♡ marriage pacts ♡ Romeo and Juliet vibes ♡ blood oaths ♡ vendettas trigger warnings: ☞ graphic violence / torture ☞ death of a loved one ☞ sexual harassment

Sebastian has my heart. Also YELENA is one of my favourite female MCs. I can't explain it but even from their first few interactions you could tell they were soulmates. The action in this book *chef's kiss* Also CHAPTER 15 I sobbed for 10 minutes straight.

omg this book was stressful

Great end to the series.

It wasn't my favorite but it gave some good closure and set up nicely for the Kingmakers series.

‘The Savage’ came out and I thought why not read the whole series again😭❤️🩹.

It’s a bittersweet end to this series. I loved Sophie Lark from the Sinners duet so I knew I had to binge read this whole series. And I absolutely adored it. We finish with the story of Sebastian Gallo, and where we start the series with him and the huge impact that goes on from there… to now, where we finish, knowing everyone’s alright, with their families and that more is to come. Sebastian and Yelena are an odd couple (at least for me) but it makes sense that they’d get together and make it work. It’s that kind of wrong but right situation. Can’t wait to dive into their kids stories

I hate giving this such a low rating but I truly envision sebastian as my little brother after reading about him for 5 books so I hated all the sex scenes (Sophie!!!! Give these men some fucking condoms!!!!) and I did really like Yelena. I just don't believe the Gallos could bribe their way out of this, especially without Riona (who I missed dearly).

4.5 ★

This was not for me.

I knew this book was going to be difficult. Watching and hearing about Seb throughout this entire series you couldn’t help but love him. What happened to him in book 1 was devastating and I knew he never really got over that. So yeah I knew this book would be hard. But bitch I didn’t expect it to hurt as much as it did. His story I think was the most unique and I can understand why Sophie saved it for last. How he meets Yelena is because he was saving her from getting taken or so it seemed. She was his age, beautiful, foreign and a bit gullible. They made a good fit anyhow. Only problem is Yelenas father is Russian and their families have a rocky past to say the least. Yelena was idk it was hard to relate to her because she was weak, and granted I understand her father was a dick but I wanted her to have a little bit more backbone than she did. I enjoyed their honeymoon stage, going on dates, getting to know each other and them falling in love despite their differences I loved that. But again in this book one of our MCs was keeping a secret that I knew eventually would blow up in all our faces so my anxiety was spiking through the roof. When shit finally hit the fan… it was in the worst way possible. My heart HURT & I’m still so damn pissed off at what happened. From there on I felt like again the ending was rushed to tie up loose ends and there wasn’t enough groveling. However I liked the ending and I’m gonna read Kingmakers next.

4.5 stars. This sixth and final installment follows the youngest Gallo son, Sebastian, who famously got his knee fucked up in book one and has been trying to find his place in the family business since his basketball career went down the drain. Nero is settled with Camille, Dante moved to Europe with Simone, and Aida is living her best life as Alderman Callum's wife. Sebastian never considered that he could be the one to take over the family business, but it ends up falling into his lap nonetheless. Sebastian meets Yelena, daughter of the new and super ruthless Bratva boss, Alexei Yenin. Their relationship begins as a setup; Yelena was forced by her father to ensnare Sebastian and get close to him. But rather quickly, their relationship becomes very real and they decide to formally align their families via marriage. The second half of this book was like a freaking action movie, I swear to god. I felt like everything was very easy to visualize as it played out, and I think Sophie deserves major props for that. This was truly the ending this series deserved. Loved it a lot and can't wait to read Kingmakers!

This was more high stakes than I was expecting, but I definitely enjoyed it. I also think Seb had the most character development of the other Gallo siblings, which makes the book a more well-rounded read.

** spoiler alert ** ⭐️ 2 *hides under covers* Okay here me out. What I loved about the other stories within this series was how mature the couples were with one another, especially in Bloody Heart and Broken Vow. The couples COMMUNICATED with one another no matter what. Yes they were older, but it was just extremely frustrating to have Yelena hide so much from Leo. Also it didn’t sit right with me how quickly Enzo’s death was brushed over. YOUR WIFE’S FATHER KILLED YOUR FATHER SEBASTIAN. And instead he was choosing to make even more reckless choices, lock this girl in this dungeon (which she annoyingly sneaks out of) and just go apeshit on everyone. I was also frustrated with how “insta-lovey” Yelena and Sebastian’s relationship was. And leading up to the wedding I was so confused with how the couples just suspected everything would be FINE?!?!? Overall I absolutely LOVED the series. Broken Vow, Bloody Heart and Stolen Heir were all top-tier reads for me, and Broken Vow is even on my list for the top ten books of the year for me. I just really did not connect with this book or the main characters within it sadly 🥺 still love Sophie Lark and her writing overall. She is an author I definitely will continue to support. This book just did not work for me personally

Highlights

“If you finish that sentence, I will strangle you,” I hiss at Aida. “Cal, you wouldn’t let him strangle me, would you?” Aida says to her husband. “Not to death,” he replies. “Thank you, love,” she says, kissing him on the cheek. “I knew I could count on you.”
These two 😂😂

In that moment I realized I have violence inside of me.
Terrifying, but oh so freeing.
