pls this was smutty, i liked it but it was cute at the same time i also read it all on my geography class- - “And I’m face to face with the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.” (…) “This woman is absurdly gorgeous. And she’s obviously smart too—” - “I don’t know what the fuck you even call it, when it’s a girl so goddamned gorgeous that you can hardly look at her without throwing her down on the floor and fucking her.” - “She’s intelligent. Capable. Ruthless. She’s just like me. Is it narcissistic to say that I love that about her? I’ve never considered tying myself to any woman, not permanently. But if I did, it would have to be a woman like this. A true equal.” - “I found this perfect specimen, and I want to keep him all for myself.” - “Her skin smells of smoke and the outdoors—wild scents that remind me that she is my little fox, and even though she slipped her trap, she came back to me again, of her own accord. I’m extremely glad to have her back.” - “It’s Sloane herself—her face and expression and voice. The way she gives herself to me. I want to give her everything in the world in return.” - “If I care about Sloane, it’s like I’ve cut off a part of myself and put it inside of her. And if she decides to leave again, or if something happens to her . . . that piece of me is just gone. Lost or destroyed.” - “I want to tell her that I love her. That I want her to stay with me always. I think she feels the same. Sloane is the other half of me, my perfect match. I understand her, and she understands me.” - “I’ll always come for you,” I tell her. “I love you, Sloane.”

“I want to tell her that I love her. That I want her to stay with me always.“ • oh, you know, just your every day she tries to kill him so he falls in love with her romance. 😂 this is actually 3.5 stars for me, but since goodreads still doesn’t allow us half stars, here we are! • read if you like: ♡ dark mafia romance ♡ dual pov ♡ trained assassin ♡ heists ♡ insta love trigger warnings: ☞ graphic violence / torture ☞ abduction

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance This review may contain spoilers, so fair warning, upon reading the review. Ivan is the first book in the Underworld series and is the next book that I felt I need to read to work my way to the BIG series by this author. For those of you that don’t know, this is an author where you have to read her books in order and some of her best books are her most current series she is finishing up. So Ivan is part of that journey and I had such high expectations of this one here. I am not going to lie, EVERYONE seems to rave about this book and so I was highly nervous to read it because I didn’t want to be so disappointed and I can definitely see why so many readers have a deep love for this book. This couple are a powerhouse together and they are sweet perfection and I wish that I could have five starred this book but unfortunately I am not able to, I did have some issues with this book that kept it was a full five star read for me. But I will say that it was an amazing book and that I really really enjoyed the hell out of it. The basics of this story is that our heroine is a professional assassin, and she is hired to do a hit on our hero Ivan, who is the head of the Mafia family he is the head of. But our heroine gets captured and they begin this sensual dance with each other and soon love enters the picture, and they become partners in bringing down their enemy and I absolutely adored this one. But my issue with this book is that it was too SHORT!! This book needed at least 300-400 pages of length in my opinion. It had so much potential and could have had so much more depth and I felt like the couple deserved more page time and they just didn’t get it. I just felt like the relationship went from hating each other, then allies and we like each other and now we love each other and it felt so fast in those transitions and there could have been more focus on building their relationship and it just felt like it needed more. I mean I read this 200 page book in less than an hour, it was a fast read but I just wished for more relationship development to add more intimacy and layers that I felt it needed. But overall a very solid read that I really enjoyed. Trigger Warnings: Violence, Death

4/5 ⭐️ I love how she’s a female assassin and he’s basically a Russian mob boss, or something like that. This was a pretty enjoyable book but they fell for each other too quickly, in my opinion. Still love them. <3

Love it! It's perfect like everything that Sophie Lark writes, it's a super quick read and has a fierce female character. I'm sure that from now on, every time I'm in a difficult situation, I'm gonna ask myself: what would Slone do?

A very quick read, that seems to hover so much at surface level, that I was close to demand for it to sit the f down. Instalove, pretty quick dive into the romance part and suddenly they act as if they've been a couple for a decade. Nah, not for me. I don't require slow burns but this just seemed to have skipped a few chapters. It was okay, a short smut break in between books and nothing too memorable.

Hi my name is now Tanya Petrov, do you have a meeting with my husband?? ________________________________________________ Well I’ll be dammed I didn’t plan on being here but I’m glad that I am. I had no idea what this book would be about but Sophie told me to read this in between Kingmakers so I followed instructions like the good girl that I am😏 Either Sophie’s knows me well or God loves me because this story was captor captive mafia & HELLO this is the life I wish I was living.. Sloane is a trained killer who gets a job to kill the new appointed leader of the Russian Bratva Ivan Petrov, she underestimated him and gets caught. Ivan having to takeover & be the boss has found himself wanting more out of his life in the Bratva and he should be furious that someone tried to kill him right as he’s about to essentially go to war but instead he finds himself drawn to his would be killer. So he keeps her, he questions her, PLAYS with her, listens to her and then …. falls in love with her. THOSE BASEMENT SCENES … THE SHOWER HELLO?! 🥵 I am completely obsessed with both Sloane & Ivan. There’s nothing more I love than a stronge heroine and stronger hero who’d give up everything to be with her because she makes him better and adds value to his life. A real man will lay down his life for a good woman and that’s exactly what Ivan found in Sloane regardless of their situation. Them fighting for power with each other was so hot wheww 😮💨 Ivan is a funny asshole he’s built a family for himself since his father died & Sloane has been a lone wolf with no family at all. He’s use to being the boss but would rather share the power with an equal and she’s willing to bend to someone dominant enough to lead. “The way they watch each other is like they’ve finally met a worth opponent, someone worth studying, worth trying to understand.” LOVED THESE TWO!

He calls her his little Fox and his grim reaper. Need i say more? 🔥🔥🔥

4.5 stars. Taking a short detour from Kingmakers to read Ivan & Snow for maximum series juiciness. I actually really loved this—I felt like Ivan and Sloane were true equals in every sense, which is something neither of them thought was possible to find. Possibly the most well-matched couple I’ve ever read. Ivan is a Bratva boss, Sloane is a hitwoman hired to kill him. He’s so surprised that she was actually able to sneak up on him that he decides to take her interrogation into his own hands. And may or may not also bring out a few…toys…to assist in the interrogation. Once it becomes clear that Ivan and Sloane have common ground, they work together to take down their shared enemy. Plot was action-packed, spice was 🔥🔥🔥, and overall this was a very fun ride.

Short & sweet. Very much to the point, so I can definitely see how it would be perceived as rushed. For me, Sloan & Ivan as characters make up for the rushed nature.

well written, good story, not to much inner monolouge - but its too short and too fast paced. The timeline is barely a week or so?

Too much insta-love for my taste. Strong FMC, I liked the character and her way of speaking. A bit bland in comparison to author's other work. If this book had a few more chapters where the chemistry between MCs was built, it would be much better. Sophie Lark's book The Spy has some chapters with these two characters that helps flesh them out, but if I had not read that book first I would feel like Ivan and Sloane's story was incomplete
