Savage Lover Brutal Birthright: Book 3
Reviews

this had a lot of plot actually compared to the first two books. i did not hate it, and i feel like if you wanted to dip your toes into mafia romance, i would suggest this book as a starting off point. it’s mafia-romance-lite and more centered around a bank heist if that’s your sort of thing. i actually like these two together as a couple, they make sense.

Nero my fav

Camille and Nero are passionate about the same thing, Nero is Aidas brother he feels less important not knowing we’re to fit in. It wasn’t my favourite out of the brothers. But still felt their relationship to be adorable.

I’m obsessed with Nero 🥵🥵🥵

I’m conflicted with this one. It was good don’t get me wrong but it wasn’t the best in the series. The characters worked for the story, essentially the same person. But how it all came together was weird. I guess it is normal for 25 year olds to be partying like high schoolers here? I’m also not really sure what the plot of the book was. This just didn’t have that same affect book 1 and 2 had for me.

★★★.5

** spoiler alert ** Wasn’t my favorite out of the series so far but it was my 2nd, I loved Nero and how he opened up to love so easily but it did feel a bit easy for the way his character was portrayed. And nothing ever came about Camille telling Nero about Vic’s biological dad which I thought was strange in a sense. All around good book, wanted more from it.

No creo que sea extremadamente malo como Brutal Prince pero sí me aburrió. No fue para mí.
Mi principal problema es que no sentí química entre Nero y Camille, literalmente nada. Lo sentí muy flojo todo.

favourite book of the whole series and will forever be a Nero girl

agradables sujetos amantes de los autos

NERO GALLO THE MAN THAT YOU ARE 😩😩 i wish this book was 2000 pages long i want more nero and camille. i wish that there was a bit more relationship development but i love nero so much so it’s getting 5 stars.

I want Camille like I’ve never wanted anything in my life. I want her to love me. She’s the only one who knows me, so she’s the only one who can. And I want to love her. But I want to take all that passion and jealousy and obsession inside of me, and I want to give it all to her. I want to give her the best of me, whatever that might be. I only hope it’s enough. Okay, another surprise to be honest!! Camille is probably my favorite girl from this series!! Loved how she loves cars, love how she works with cars, love how she knows about cars, i don't know, I just admire her a lot and loved meeting her!! I really liked Nero too, he was described as the rebel one and the dark one but I know he's the one who feels the most!!! Their story was actually really fun and my favorite I guess, and loved their connection and their development!! Just feel like the ending was so rushed and I finished the book without realizing it was ending, it was so weird it didn't feel like the book was ending!! I don't know how to explain but just done there it's the end but I did really liked their story!! “I know I’ve got an awful history and honestly, I’m not much better now. My temper is shit. I want to kill any man that looks at you. I’m not . . . good with words, or feelings. But I love you, Camille. I’ll never hurt you. You can trust me for that, if nothing else.” “I love you so much it hurts. I’m scared to tell you, scared to even let myself feel it. But I love you, and I have for a while.” “You’re MY favorite,” I tell him. “You’re my favorite person in the world.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
OH MY - Sophie's books are just getting better and better. I genuinely believed Nero would turn out to be a bad boy, but he actually has a soft heart for Camille.
Sophie not only develops really fascinating and intriguing characters, but she also consistently comes up with solid stories.
Camille is extremely admirable as she sacrifices everything for her family, even herself. And, I adore Nero's faith in Camille to complete the heist. There is no denying that they have excellent chemistry together.
The only contrasts I saw were that this novel felt shorter and their chemistry seemed to happen more quickly. Nevertheless, it was very, very good.

3.75 So... It took me like months to finish this book. Not because it was a bad book, nope. Because I was in the middle of a freaking reading slump. And it didn't help that life had a 360º degree turn in February. But this book is great. I like Nero and Camille, i think that I just read this at the wrong time honestly. This was the couple from Sophie's books, yes I only read 3 so far, but they were good.

this book def made me love nero for seeing the good in camille and not giving up on her. i love their story and how they met and what they went thru together . they give me a bonnie and clyde type of vibe , they definitely fit each other .

Sophie Lark gets it right EVERY SINGLE TIME! I loved Camille and her story so much. Nero was the perfect match for her. The heist part of this had me on the edge of my seat. What's better than a spicy romance with revenge on dirty cops and a bank robbery? I'm interested to learn how Vic is going to react to *that* convo a year from now and I hope it gets written into the books.

4.5 ★

This is my second favorite of the series so far. Nero and Camille knew each other in high school, but never really considered each other in their lives until a series of events continue to through them into each other's path. Camille has so many life problems to deal with, and is just trying to keep her half-brother Vic on the path to college and a better life which leads to a series of events that brings her into danger at the same time as bringing her into Nero's orbit. Once, Nero and Camille continue to see each other they quickly form a connection which leads to a very beautiful romance. I absolutely loved Camille, she is such an amazing and relatable character. Nero's character story was so heartbreaking, and I really loved when he opens up to Camille. I thought the plot was pretty interesting and engaging, and I think Sophie Lark's writing style is great. One thing I love about this book is that there could have easily been a miscommunication/assumed betrayal as a manufactured conflict which I hate in romances, but instead the characters were honest and open with each other. I would 100% recommend this book. I'm not sure what it was missing to push it towards 4.5 or 5 stars. It just wasn't as atmospheric as stolen heir or passionate as brutal prince, and it lacked a clear trope that I could fall in love with. The plot also wasn't very intense for me. However, it is a solid good read.

Take the fast and the furious with some oceans 11 mixed in but make it bland. Sophie has an amazing way of describing everything so you feel like you're there and usually I love her characters but I just didn't feel the connection with these too. Maybe because they were to reminiscent of Dom and Letty and they didn't feel like their own people.

Think Fast & the furious with a splash of mafia. I think that’s the perfect description for this one. They’re totally Dom & Letty vibes like omg I LOVE THEM Camille finds herself in a sticky situation after her brother gets caught with drugs and a cop forces her to be his CI. In doing that she has to be around Nero a lot more than often and they know each other from going to school together & living in the same neighborhood. These two are like… soulmates. The bond & chemistry between was almost instant but it still took time to really flourish and build the relationship that I did. Both of them have pain & heartache that they’re dealing with their families and they find solace within each other. Camille isn’t the posh & prissy girl, she a mechanic and a pretty bad ass one at that. I really enjoyed this story. I want to say it’s my favorite but omg it’s like each book gets better as I go along in the series.

4.5 stars. Continuing to work my way through the Brutal Birthright series and I had a feeling Nero's book would be excellent--and I was right. For those of you who don't know (and this may come as a surprise), I LOVE the Fast & Furious franchise. Savage Lover had a very strong fast/furious vibe, and Nero and Camille reminded me a lot of Dom & Letty (if Dom was Italian and had hair). We got mafia (obvi), we got bad guy/good girl, we got fast cars, and we got a BANK HEIST. So this was basically Fast Five. 💀 Nero comes off as the playboy/Casanova type, all dark and broody and impulsive and sarcastic. Camille is the opposite--a rule follower, good girl, and a bit of a pariah. The two of them form a deep connection, and it truly seems as if they've found the other halves of their souls in one another. And they have a lot of sex both in cars and on top of cars. If that ain't goals, I don't know what is. I'm glad we finally got to see what's going on behind the curtain in Nero's mind, especially how he deals with so much guilt surrounding his mother's death. Poor thing. 🥺 Loved this, can't wait to keep going.

Nero… I FUCKING LOVED HIM. He totally gave me Brian from Fast & Furious vibes. I never thought I’d like him as much as I did in this book. I could really relate to Camille. After Aida, Camille is my second favorite. She’s so real and you can see how she matches with Nero. The spice is like a 3. The only let down for me was, I was expecting Nero to have more of a dirty mouth in those ✨special✨ scenes. Sophie Lark I love you.

loved every second of it!!!😍😍😍

The couple has a good relationship progression. I love to see main characters who aren't white, and this book gave that to me. I also love a good heist, which adds another dimension to this book.
Highlights

“I want to take all that passion and jealousy and obsession inside if me, and I want to give it all to her. I want to give her the best of me, whatever that might be. I only hope it’s enough”

“(Why do boys always get the best lashes?)”
Exactly!!!! They always do!

God almighty, why did you give the man with the blackest soul the most heavenly eyes?

Before, I wouldn’t have known what to say to him. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from my time with Camille, it’s that you can’t say anything to fix a situation like this. And you don’t have to try. You just have to be there for the other person.
Take notes, people.

In the roshambo of body parts, skull beats nose every time.
Nero spitting facts.

He's liquid sex in a James Dean frame.
I'll take one of those, please and thank you.
