The Rebel Kingmakers, #2
Reviews

Miles is so smart wtf and love cats character development. Also #DeanDefender he's very cute. What else?

I’m kind of disappointed in how little they actually focused on the relationship between Zoe and Miles. I liked Cat’s role in the story but it focused a little too much on her for my liking. Just wished there was more romance.

miles griffin se vc quiser que eu implore e te obedeça estou disposta 😘 beijo gatao

Introduction
The Rebel is the second installment in the "Kingmakers" series and I absolutely loved this book. Wow this one really blew me away. While I liked the first book, this one just went to a whole new level and I just found it so satisfying. I have no clue why I put this book off for so long, I have had it in my KU queue for weeks now. But I am so glad I decided to take a second chance on this series because I am really starting to see some pieces fall into place for this one here. And I just love a good forbidden romance and Sophie Lark really upped her game for this book and I am not sure if it was the book or just the narrators just were so good with these, I really want to listen to these in audio for the series at least. They really went with some solid narrators on these so I am really impressed with that. But Side Note: The only covers that are valid are the sexy guy on the cover. I could care less about these ugly illustrated ones. And is a main reason it took me so long to pick it up. Sorry if that offends you, but I really struggle when authors take a beautiful cover and change it to illustrated.
Summary
The gist of the story is that there are three POV's that are being done but one of them is for the heroine in book 3 so it does build up plot points for things that are very significant in book three so you definitely want to pay attention to it. But what we have are our three players in the story: Zoe, Miles and Cat. Zoe is engaged to Rocco Prince who is a psychopath but due to the financial obligations, her father is handing her over to him once she is finished with college. And when her father forces her sister to go to Kingmaker's, Zoe knows her father will mainpulate the situation to get her to obey Rocco's demands. But then Zoe attracts the attention of Miles who is one of the most famous students at Kingmakers and when he is determined to have Zoe, he knows that he will have to use every smart he has to get her out of this situation and save Zoe to be free to choose for herself...
My Outlook
This was such a wonderful read here. I surprisingly enjoyed this one. Sophie Lark can be such a hit or miss for me. So I never know if a story will work or not. But I ended up loving this one here. It had everything I love to see in a romance even in a new adult. I really enjoyed the forbidden feels to this book and seeing how Zoe and Miles come together. Seeing their relationship grow was just so endearing. Rocco is crazy and for a dark romance that is saying something. But I really enjoyed the way that this one was developed and how well Sophie Lark developed the villain's character, it really builds on the tension so well. We also have a side plotline with Cat's book who is Zoe's sister. And I really loved this plotline. It actually is needed to understand fully what happens in book 3. If you are a fan of forbidden feels, then this is a book for you. Highly recommend.

4.5⭐️ Miles <333

3,5 te amo miles

cat carried this tbh

I loved Miles.

This book was so good. I loved the forbidden love aspect, and everything that Miles was willing to go through to have Zoe. The romance was a little rushed.. Idk it just seemed like they were in love after 1 interaction, but I'm not going to be too picky about that. I still really enjoyed it. I was super excited for this book because Miles was my fav from The Heir. He is so cocky, and arrogant. I think paired with Zoe, it makes a great match. There's not much to say about this story - it didn't amaze me but it also didn't disappoint me.

to start off , i LOVE miles . from the outside he shows a totally different person but when zoe gets to see the inside i love him even more . he’s definitely a charm . he’s so smart and brave . miles has definitely stole my heart . maybe even beating leo lol . the love he has for zoe is indescribable. i wish i can have me a miles lol .

"One thing is certain: I need Zoe. I fucking need her. I'm no good without her." Zoe, god she's breaking my heart. I understand her reasonings. She loves her friends and her sister. She will always put those she loves above her self. She is so strong and selfless. But seriously lol thankfully Miles was not taking no for an answer 😍 Miles in the first book he seemed so aloof, uncaring, just biding his time until he could go off on his own. He is honestly so much more, so complex. His love for Zoe runs deep and he will do whatever it take have her and to keep her safe. The Rule of Recompense can kick rocks. I'm sobbing for Ozzy 😭 Tiny quiet little Cat, what a shock that was 🤯 Freaking Dean, OF COURSE he knows 🤦🏼♀️ I'm so ready to read their story next!

Hi my name is Tanya & I’m obsessed with Miles Griffin, will update later.. _______________________________________________ HOLY FUCKING SHIT 5 GODDAMN STARS. I knew this book would be good I knew it in my bones!! This Follows Zoe & Miles Griffin, they run in the same circle but not really friends. Zoe has been engaged to a psychopath (Rocco) since she was 12 and they now attend Kingmakers together. He’s been abusing her and terrorizing her at every turn. Zoe’s choices are either to stay under his thumb and submit or try to get out of the marriage at the end of the school year. Their first interaction is him saving her from Rocco which is a horrible chance of fate but it sets the presidence of everything moving forward. We really get to see how organically the relationship grows between Miles & Zoe. Miles is literally equal parts Aida & equal parts Callum reincarnated okay he’s just as wild, crazy, fun and even a bit more charming & calculating than his parents. He is the person everyone goes to on campus, everyone knows his name and what he can provided for them but nobody truly knows HIM. He’s been working, scheming, building connections and saving to put his future plans into action. At the drop of a dime he’s willing to give it all up and devotes his time into making Zoe happy. He’s never lets anyone get too close or in his way of his plan, until Zoe. Their story was so sweet, funny, gut wrenching, sexy & swoony. It’s my favorite thus far and idk if anyone is going to top it. OMG BITCH MOVIE NIGHT?!? I THINK I DIED. I love hero’s who fall to their knees and worship their heroines bc they have changed them for the better. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THESE TWO SO MUCH. The plot of this book was very much a movie you guys somebody needs to pick these books up and turn them into fucking movies Please. This book made me cry, swoon, laugh, gave me heart butterflies & kitty butterflies. I loved it from beginning to the end and I wouldn’t change a thing.

5/5⭐️• 3.5/5🔥 INCREDIBLE. I loved seeing Miles in this book. He’s an utter genius and seriously the perfect combo of Callum and Aida. This book has me questioning everything and everyone. So many twists and surprises! I also cried at one point. SO SO GOOD!!!

Miles MOTHERFUCKING Griffin, everyone. I thought I was ready but good god did Miles take me by surprise. Miles is the perfect combination of Aida and Callum--reckless, charming, innovative, and ruthless when he knows what he wants. Or who he wants, in this case. Miles and Zoe fit together like puzzle pieces, and their chemistry was off the fucking charts once they both gave in to their building sexual tension. Their first time together in the cathedral?? WHEW. That man knows what he's doing. I have to give props to Sophie for carrying out Aida and Callum's legacy in such a beautiful way, and for keeping me on my toes throughout the entire book. I was audibly gasping past the 60% mark, and I can't wait to keep going in this series. I'm literally loving every second.

Miles and Zoe are my favorites of all the couples Sophie Lark wrote in the Kingmakers series — also had the best sex scenes imo. The stakes were high and kept me engaged throughout the book, and I also liked the glimpse of other characters that foreshadowed other storylines.
