A Guide to Being Just Friends A perfect feel-good rom-com read!
Reviews

I went into this not realizing that it was the third book in a series or that I had already read the other two, so that was a pleasant surprise. Sullivan's writing is so breezy that I flew through it in one sitting. I liked Hailey and Wes and thought they had a sweet relationship. They worked so well as friends that it felt natural when it inevitably progressed into something more. I saw it compared to When Harry Met Sally, which was pretty apt. I didn't love the third-act drama, but other than that, I enjoyed it and would recommend it if you like wholesome, Hallmark-feeling romances.

I really enjoyed this one and the small business owner storyline. I loved the entire friend group that encompassed this story. What I wasn’t a fan of was the fact that one of these characters had to completely change what they wanted from life in order for this relationship to work. I understand there needed to be conflict and the character needed to do some personal exploration but it’s just not my personal favorite storyline that we all need to change our life goals to find happiness.

Highlights

The softness in his gaze was doing something weird to her in- sides. Not friend-like things, but she was okay with setting it aside because what was happening between them felt special. All the friends she' d thought were the real deal disappeared with her relationship. Connections she thought mattered were severed like the tie between them was the thinnest of strings. This tether she was weaving with Wes felt strong, sturdy. Like something she could count on even if it was stretched. "Im glad we met," he said finally.
