There are not enough words for much I love this book and this series!! I'm a mess and Chess and Terrible are solely the reason for it! No matter how many times I reread it I just can't properly express the emotions I go through experiencing this entire journey but it's a hell of a ride and the ending is so rewarding. I'm just as taken away as I was the first time I read it, maybe even more because I know this is only the beginning of something incredible and while it's never easy I'm going to enjoy every second of it. Why is this series so underrated when it's got everything?! I would kill to have more people to share it with!

THIS BOOK MESSES WITH ALL MY EMOTIONS, STILL MY FAVORITE ONE!!! <3333 Basically I still stand by my mess of words and emotions in my original review. This book for me has everything and completely solidified the Downside Ghost books a spot in my favorite urban fantasy series. The fact that I knew everything that was going to happen and I was both anticipating and dreading it all the same time it shows me how much I love this book. City of Ghosts is the most frustrating but also the most rewarding of the whole entire series for! That ending, yep it was so worth all the tears and heartbreak from the past two books. Also, Kelly Sweet's cover of in the air tonight is my go-to playlist song for certain emotional, angsty, intense, and hot moment between my favorite pair!

AHHHH THAT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD!!!
OMG I'M DYING, WHAT A CRAZY RIDE

This is why I love to read!! Chess may be the addict in these books but these books are my addiction. AMAZING! 

 -WARNING THIS IS A LOVE LETTER TO ALL THINGS DOWNSIDE!- 

Okay, I need to write this review so I can get all my feelings out because having no one to talk about this wonderful series is driving me crazy. First, Stacia Kane writes an incredible story, the mysteries keep you guessing, there's a lot of action, it's character driven, and it has an amazing romance mixed in but never overpowering. I love how she pulls zero punches, the urban setting is gritty, brutal, twisted, and completely unapologetic. Her main characters are morally corrupt antiheroes that I can't help but love. I can’t explain it, one second I was reading just another urban fantasy series and then something happened this book took on a life of its own and there was no stopping this addiction! I'm happy I randomly decided to buy these books because it was a complete gamble, and it totally worked out.

 I still can't believe I almost DNF the first book 100 pages in yep... basically I must have been out of my f*cking mind. I will admit the first book was hard to get into but after that, there's no turning back. The dialog is not the easiest to follow when you're reading it for the first time. However, after the second book all that changes, and now after finishing the 3rd it's safe to say it's one of my favorites. It didn't take long but in a few days, this series consumed me. I can't put these books down I just want to keep reading them over and over again. Easily one of my top UF series. I have zero regrets spending all my current limited free time all on reading these books.

 Terrible is one of my favorites, he may not be the greatest looking or the most educated but he is still intelligent, strong, intriguing, sweet, and damn sexy in his own way. His love for Chess is truly something beautiful, and I could in all honesty read their scenes all day long rereads the last page again. I also love Chess she is a strong main character, in spite of her incredibly horrific past, and her dependency on drugs. Yes, she certainly knows how to make a mess of her life sometimes but there is no denying what a kick-ass, and still such a soft hearted main character she is. All in all, I wish this series was longer 5 books is not going to be enough!

The Lamaru are back. Chess is working a case so big that she had to be Bound to silence. Terrible still hasn't forgiven her. So much going on in this book, and I never wanted it to end!! In my review for the last book, I said it took the series to a whole new level, but this was way beyond even that. So much gut-wrenching pain! But the ending left a big sappy smile on my face. I LOVED it!!!
