It had a pretty unlikable MC, which you all know I don’t care for. But Lexi was different. I found her to be an interesting MC. She was very complex, more so than meets the eye. I cringed a lot at what she did but I couldn’t stop myself from reading. What I really appreciated about this book was the conversation between the lines of the vicious cycle of abuse with drugs and undiagnosed/untreated mental illness. There was also a fabulous conversation involving social media/reality TV. This book really dives into reality TV and what’s posted on social media and everything is not as perfect as it seems. The “glamorous” side of social media is not so glamorous after all. What I found most exciting about this book was that I never really knew what to believe. The MC, Lexi, was so unreliable that one could never take her at her whole word. But you had to because she was the only MC, there was only her voice. That was my favorite part. Overall, this was a great book and not what I expected. I’m hoping for a sequel because it was kind of sort of set up for one. I would love to get more of Lexi and her adventures.

The concept of this book is very intriguing on paper, with strong American Physco vibes. Upon reading though, it didn't work for me. I have come to realise I just don't like the way men tend to write women. I think this would be a great book if you could look past this, but too many things just didn't sit right with me, unfortunately.
