I knew as soon as I read the blurb that this was a book I needed to check out. And let me tell you, this book does not disappoint. It's the got so many elements I love: Strong women, cool spaceships, space exploration, aliens, intrigue, and diverse, fascinating characters. I figured I'd enjoy this book, but I honestly didn't expect to love it as much as I did. There were only a couple things I wasn't as fond of. First, the beginning started a little slow for me. It took a couple chapters for me to really get into the story. But part of that might have come from the fact that there are a lot of characters that get introduced. Sometimes it was hard, particularly at first, to keep track of who was who and what was happening in each character's life. But that confusion didn't stop me from eating up every word of this awesome book. I can't wait to read the next one!
