Loved his writing, very descriptive and immersive style, gripping at times. Psychologically quite rich and insightful. Definitely interested in reading more of his work!

All through the pages of this novela, there was a thought I got drawn in, how could Stefan Zweig bring back the soul of an introvert, anxious and helpless child in such few papers? And how could it be so heavy to feel how it felt like, to be decieved and tricked.. The novela is not just about a child facing the adulthood for the first time, it's about us, all of us, we sometimes are in Edgar's shoes, other times we're the hunters.
