If you're looking for a book with nothing but hockey smut, then this is the one for you. Other than that, there's not much substance to it.

If you want a book with hockey, ‘i’ll teach you’, a splash of fake dating, and a protective and supportive MMC: this is a book you should pick up. I really appreciated that there wasn’t too much of actual hockey in this book because as an Australian, I know absolutely nothing about ice hockey.

The smut is 😗👌🏼 and the fluff is adorable so if you like a fluffy romance with a healthy dose of smut, this is the book for you! Overall a really fast and enjoyable read so I’d 100% recommend.

Hockey (Romance) Season just began and this was the perfect steamy story to get me in the mood!

Every. Single. Page. 

I absolutely loved the way these characters grew individually and with each others help. 

The way Jaime encouraged Pippa to stand up for herself, helped her see how actually talented she is in her music. Ahhh it was such a delight. 

Second chance romance gets me every time- and the way Jaimie treats Pippa omg. Literally like a queen. He is absolutely obsessed with her and yet, still grumpy bossy and masculine in how he treats her.

I’m absolutely, positively obsessed with this book. I can’t get enough I just finished and already wish I could read it for the first time again. I looooove boy obsessed. I love their background and I loved how they came together and how beautiful everything was. Major hockey fan and I’m kind of obsessed with goalies so I was swooning, kicking my feet, and squealing at some parts with Jamie. I want to kiss Jamie and Peppa on the forehead I love them so much. New favorite book. I’m actually obsessed with Peppa. She was a PERFECT fmc I looooooved reading about her so much and I felt that she was just a beautiful character. Ugh just everything was so good

Was I irritated Jamie kept treating his mom for being an invalid because she had panic attacks? Yes. 

Was I even more irritated that she neglected her health? A bigger yes. 

But Pippa and Jamie were cute and I loved how they helped each other. Character development was goooooood.

This book was amazing I loved the banter between the characters and I absolutely loved how it was dual pov and when the main female character was like oh he hate me and then we would get to his pov and he would be like I couldn’t breath when she walked in the room. It was jut adorable and you should definitely give it a read!!

it was lovey, and sexy! it has a good plot and it’s talking about important life issues and dealing with them in a very easy to read way and i enjoyed it!

i liked the writing and the growth of the MCs and apart from finding unrealistic how someone can be SO grumpy, i found it entertaining. the spice was super good!

most of all i can’t wait for the next book about Rory and Hazel though! it seems super promising.

Sunshine ☀ x grumpy romance which was really cute also the hockey 🏒 player trope. It's a slow burn which is definitely worth it in the end.

This was a pretty classic hockey romance for me - easy, cute and steamy. It was definitely worth reading as an easy book that you can fly through.

My only real complaint is that it wasn't anywhere near slow-burn enough for me. I feel like Pippa and Jamie acted on their attraction to each other way too soon and it felt like there wasn't really any build-up that got me excited for them to break that first boundary.

I thought that the characters were really nicely written and I liked all the main ones which is always good lol. I do think that Pippa and Jamie complimented each other really well -- I really loved the way that he so badly wanted to build up her confidence and didn't let anything get in the way of her trying to live her dream. He was so supportive of her and her music and it was really sweet to see. There was also a fake dating scene which had incredible chemistry. Hayden was also, surprisingly, my favourite characters. He was just so wholesome and gave the biggest golden retriever energy ever and he was so fun with Pippa.

All in all, a basic hockey romance that was a pretty decent read.

I was initiallt very drawn to this book and it sucked me in quick. I loved jamie & pippa’s little dance before they got together, but afterwards there was a lot of smut that just wasn’t always necessary? still a sweet story and ending but didn’t knock me out of the water.
