Ellie Reed has to get away from all of the pressures she is facing including losing her job, her boyfriend, and her apartment, so she rents and Airbnb on a farm in Montana.  Upon her arrival, her hostess, Marilyn, is being whisked off to the hospital with an injury, and there are a bunch of animals that she now must take care of.  Ellie gladly accepts the help of Marilyn's handsome neighbor, Blake, and is shocked in the shower by the presence of Marilyn's grandson, Warren, who doesn't understand why she is there.  Ellie finds herself in the middle of two family dramas: her own and Marilyn's and doesn't know what to do about either one.

Said No One Ever is a fun romantic comedy/women's fiction story about a woman at life's crossroads trying to find where she fits and with whom.  Warren is suitably cranky and Marilyn is fun and quirky.  Other characters including Marilyn's and Ellie's relatives add additional layers to this enjoyable novel.  However, some parts of the plot seem a bit over the top and some pivotal characters remain one dimensional, but overall, Said No One Ever is very entertaining  and well worth the read.
