The Ballad of Never After The Stunning Sequel to the Sunday Times Bestseller Once Upon a Broken Heart
Reviews

the longing??? the yearning???? the push and pull relationship???? i knew it was gonna be an instant fave (i need at least 3 business days to process that ending) (maybe i’ll write a longer review once i’ve finally processed everything) (unpopular opinion, but i think i kinda liked the first book better... but those last 50 pages really changed the game).
EVAJACKS IS MY ROMEO AND JULIET.

At a loss of words and I wan’t to cry but all I can say again is just JACKS!!!

HEARTBREAKING
Don't read this book unless you have the third book in your possession!!
Thank me later

Absolute roller coaster. I loved it so much. Most things I kinda figured out but the last few pages I was completely invested and I can’t wait to see how this continues. Honestly, I get why people love this series so much now. I officially love this series more than Caraval.

** spoiler alert ** oh my goodness the tension??? the pain??? the unspoken mutual feelings between the two??? i need evajacks to be end game !! when jacks cried, screamed, and begged for evangeline to bring her back and used the stones to revive her instead of his original plan shows that he truly really loves evangeline “time will take something equally valuable from you.” “there is nothing of equal value to me.” — there is nothing of equal value to him than evangeline’s life!!! he needs to save her i’m crying :(((

Better, still lot of whining and predictable but better

MY HEART IM ACTUALLY HAVING A SEIZURE IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO END A STORY THIS WAY IM GONNA KMS I HATE APOLLO SO MUCH #JUSTICEFORJACKS 😭💔💔 feel like stabbing somone right now.

I should have never let my sister convince me to read this book, cause now I have to wait until October for the 3rd book

Aghhhhhhh!!!! Don't talk to me. I'm heartbroken. LISTEN, I won't believe any 'I love you.' The only thing I want is, 'There is nothing of equal value to me (than you)'"💔💔💔💔 Imo, this book is even better than the first book. The last 100 pages are impossible to put down. I was binge-reading until 4 am. I might come back to write a more detailed review later.

Highlights

She used to think love was like a house. Once it was built, a person got to live in it forever. But now she wondered if love was more like a war with new foes constantly appearing and battles creeping up. Winning at love was less about succeeding in battle and more about continuing to fight, to choose the person you loved as the one you were willing to die for, over and over.
