"What are habits but a steady way of either honoring or diminishing ourselves?" -The Curiosity. A very interesting story about scientific reanimation - bringing back to life - of a man found frozen in the arctic. Focused mainly on the biological, financial, political and social/popular culture ramifications (rather than religion), there was a lot to enjoy, however predictable the ending.

I received a copy of this book as a first-read. I admit it took me quite a while to finish it, partly because of my own busy schedule and partly because I did find the plot very slow-moving at times. The premise of this book does interest me. I found the author did a nice job of taking an original subject and raising ethical and moral questions for the reader without being overly political. Some of the characters, however, frustrated me. Although one could argue the main characters did receive their "redemption" or "punishment," 96% of the book felt like a let-down for the characters I was rooting for, and the end like it was wrapped up too quickly. I would still recommend this book, and I plan on reading the authors non-fiction works as well.
