The general subject of this book interests me and I'm fascinated by how simple systems/rules can create such complexity. That said, I found the book very repetitive and I quickly lost patience with it. It seemed like each chapter presented a similar set of sample "systems" and pictures and then made increasingly broad and profound claims about their applicability to various branches of science, thought, etc. I'm no scientist, so even if everything in here is as groundbreaking as he claims, it would be lost on me. I'd be curious to see how someone has actually used these insights to solve a real problem.
