After working retail, it was interesting to see another perspective of customer hatred. There are some chapters that have me reluctant to eat out again anytime soon though. Towards the end, it did start to drag on but I’m still glad I picked up this book.

According to The Waiter, 80 percent of customers are nice people just looking for something to eat. The remaining 20 percent, however, are socially maladjusted psychopaths. If you have ever worked at a restaurant this book is for you. All of its pretty painfully true.

This was an interesting insight into the mind of a waiter. I did enjoy seeing what it's like to work in food service. I especially liked reading about the dynamics between the co-workers. The Waiter, however, did come across sometimes as an elitist asshole. That kept me from enjoying the book more thoroughly. Still, it was an intriguing book.
