I picked up this cheeky book from Netgalley this morning. The book is a super quick collection of hilarious lies that parents tell their children. They are so irreverent that I would love if somebody lied to me this way. These are adorable lies. Just the kind of lies which would make children-who-live-in-adult-bodies loosen up, and have a good laugh. 😊

I am extremely confused. I thought this book would've been a little more relatable and amusing. This book is a combination of little exaggerated lies we as parents tell our kids with illustrations depicting the white lie, except most of the little lies made no sense and are certainly nothing I've ever told my kids. There was one about taxidermy that was slightly baffling and more morbid than funny. I thought I would enjoy this, but I kind of really found it disturbing in some places. Some of the illustrations were clever and I did enjoy them. To me it almost seemed the book was more illustrations with clever captions explaining what was depicted. I homesteading have anyone I would really suggest it to. I read it in like 5 minutes I think.
