I picked this book up with a lot of excitement because I am a fan of Steven Furtick's ministry and know many people who attend Elevation Church. I have enjoyed watching his sermons and seeing the church grow, though I have never attended (due to living at least 4 hours away).

In my opinion, this book was fantastic. It was inspiring, challenging, and incredible. I was crying at some of the stories and testimonies that Furtick shared in the pages. I don't want to have simple feel-good faith, I want faith that trusts God to move mountains and make the sun stand still. And I want to be brave enough to act on that faith.

While I wrote down pages and pages of quotes as I was reading, the passage that impacted me the most was: “The goal of faith isn't to take away your fears but to leverage those fears to create bolder belief. Faith leads you past your fears and reassures you of God's presence. And after a while, you begin to trust that God is going to lift you above the waves this time just like he did last time.”
