The Devil's Cup has some interesting moments but I was hoping for a more comprehensive history of the drink. This book is just a travelogue of someone apparently famous who is wandering around the world for different types of coffee drinks. It's not much more interesting than reading about someone's pub crawls from around the world. Most of the facts that are in this book I already knew so I didn't come away feeling I had learned much.

Interesting at first, but not all about coffee. There was a drawn-out section about the writer being involved in some painting scandal that wasn’t relevant to the book at all. Did enjoy the coffee stuff though
