Ramona the Pest

A thoroughly entertaining read for all ages.

It is the greatest day of Ramona's life. She is in kindergarten and she adores her teacher. There's a little boy called Davy in her class—Ramona likes him so much she wants to kiss him. There's also a little girl called Susan who has lovely curly hair which bounces like springs when she runs.

So how does Ramona keep getting into trouble? Why is she sitting on the bench while everyone else is playing games? Why does Davy run as fast as he can when Ramona comes near him? And how does she manage to disrupt the whole class during rest time? Well, anyone who knows Ramona knows that she is never a pest on purpose ...

This is the second in a series of books about Ramona, by award-winning American novelist, Beverly Cleary.

Ramona Quimby is brave and fearless — or so she thinks.

She thinks she's being brave by defending her sister in the park — but all her sister says is that she's silly and embarrassing. And now she has her own bedroom, Ramona is finding it more and more difficult to be brave especially when there might be something lurking under the bed or oozing round the door at night.

But Ramona's not going to let the great big growling dog on the way to school scare her. After all, she's her father's brave little girl. Or is she?
