Jen Lancaster has fully redeemed herself in my memoir-loving eyes. I wasn't the biggest fan of her first memoir but everyone since then made me fall in love with her more and more, until around Jeneration X. At this point it felt like she was running out of material and started using her blog posts for her books. Then there were 2 books of trying too hard to after running out of material.

In Stories I'd Tell in Bars, Lancaster addressed all the thoughts that I have had or spoken about in past reviews. The reasons why I didn't like the first book? She addressed it in this book and wishes she could take it back. When her editors said they wouldn't publish anymore memoirs as no one would read them? She self published. And told all new stories that I hadn't read before. On one hand I want to shout "yay she's back!" but she's not - she's grown, her writing has grown and I enjoy being a part of the journey.
