Stress Basic Mechanisms and Clinical Implications
This volume offers a comprehensive overview of the multiple facets of the stress response, a field that has seen rapid advancement in knowledge in the past few years. The stress system and its components are described; the basic mechanisms of the stress response as well as its biomedical and pathophysiological resulting from dysregulation of the stress systems are presented; and management strategies for disease are proposed.
